Mr. Richard Genaille Jr., SAF/IA

Richard A. Genaille Jr., a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Director of Policy, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs, Washington, D.C. Mr. Genaille develops and implements national, Department of Defense and Air Force policies governing security assistance, international armaments cooperative development, foreign disclosure and technology transfer, as well as military and civilian personnel exchange programs supporting national security objectives.

Mr. Genaille was commissioned in 1971 and served in the Air Force for†22 years where he was a command pilot with more than 3,200 flying hours. He retired from active duty in 1993 and continued in government service as a civilian employee of the Department of the Air Force. Prior to his current position, Mr. Genaille was the Chief, Foreign Disclosure and Technology Transfer Division, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs. He was responsible for developing disclosure and technology transfer policy and procedures, and for providing disclosure guidance in support of Air Force international programs and initiatives. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2005.
